Fresh Fall Pear Recipes
What sweet memories I have pear picking with my grandparents! There is just nothing like plucking your own produce off the tree!
With the abundance of pears I got to create a few new recipes I think you are going to love using Heavenly Olive Oils and Vinegars! If you don't have access to farm fresh pears, opt for organic pears to avoid all the pesticides since they are a "dirty dozen" food.
Enjoy!
Walnut Balsamic Pear Salad (makes 1/2 cup dressing)
¼ cup roasted walnut oil
½ Tablespoon maple balsamic vinegar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 small garlic clove, pressed/ minced
Stevia, to taste
In a mason jar, add all the salad dressing ingredients together and shake well.
Arrange your salad with your favorite organic greens, sliced organic pears, red onion, walnuts and goat cheese. Drizzle with the walnut balsamic dressing and enjoy!
Simple Maple Pear Bake
5-6 cups organic pears, sliced (1 ½-2 lbs.)
1 Tablespoon maple balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons coconut oil
½ Tablespoon cinnamon
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking dish with unbleached parchment paper.
In a large glass bowl toss the pears with the balsamic, cinnamon and coconut oil. You could even add some vanilla bean or vanilla extract, if desired!
Arrange the pears on the parchment paper-lined baking dish and bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes or until the pears are soft and golden.
Enjoy!
